Love's Unfolding Journey: a Flash Fiction Contest
Write a love story--whatever you think that means. The rules are: The story must stay under 750 words, a length that fits into a format known as flash fiction. It can be set in any time period or location. The main theme must be love (not too erotic) and the story must also concern some aspect of East Indian culture, mythology, or history. You can achieve that by way of character, plot, dialogue or setting.Entries are free and must be submitted by June 14, 2012. Original fiction received by the contest that meets quality standards and all other judging criteria will be read at Serentripity's upcoming flash fiction soiree, Love's Unfolding Journey and possibly in conjunction with other cultural activities. Entries the judges love the best qualify for awards by age category.
At this time, we are not paying for your submissions, however we may contact you in the future to announce the publication of an anthology of these and other stories. Based on your possible eventual inclusion in the anthology you will receive a copy of the anthology, a discount of 30 percent on additional copies, and a one-time fee to be announced at that time. If you haven't heard from us at that time, your piece may not have been chosen.
